Welcome to your dream getaway at Oceanfront Cottage 5A. Nestled perfectly on the lot, this charming cottage offers breathtaking views of the sunsets, Kaiaka Rock, and the beautiful coast of Oahu.

Your retreat features a newly renovated kitchen (as of January 2023) and floods with natural light thanks to three walls of windows and doors, along with impressive 20-foot vaulted ceilings. Enjoy the luxury of being able to see the ocean while lounging in bed or from almost any point within the cottage.

Step outside, and you will find yourself surrounded by miles of hiking trails and pristine beaches right at your doorstep. Papohaku Beach stretches nearly three miles, often feeling like your own private paradise. Many guests savor their morning coffee while taking a stroll to the nearby Make Horse Beach.

Depending on the season, you might even catch a glimpse of whales breaching from the comfort of your couch or lanai. Daily sights of turkeys meandering across the lawn bring a touch of whimsy, making it tempting to spend all day enjoying the charm of the cottage.

Refresh yourself in the well-maintained pool that boasts stunning panoramic views of the ocean. After a sunny day at the beach, rinse off under one of the outdoor showers available. The swimming conditions are ideal during the summer, with plenty of sand, although caution is advised in winter due to higher surf and rocky areas.

The privacy offered by this cottage is exceptional. With no immediate neighbors apart from Cottage 5B, you can enjoy an uninterrupted escape, as there are no buildings obstructing your view of the ocean.

Unlike larger complexes, where multiple units share common spaces, the unique layout of this cottage ensures a peaceful environment with only two units per building, allowing for ample seclusion and quietude.

Your designated parking space for Cottage 5A is conveniently located in the lowest lot, just past security, which means no steep hills to navigate with your groceries and beach gear.

A small convenience store, known as Da Store, is situated within the resort, providing essential groceries and snacks. While it does not offer alcohol, it remains open seven days a week for your convenience. For a more extensive selection, visit the grocery store in Kaunakakai.

Please keep in mind that air conditioning units are not available in any condos within Kepuhi Beach Resort. You can expect to keep windows and doors open, which may invite some friendly geckos and the occasional bug inside. Dust may also be present due to the trade winds.

The trade-off? Unparalleled views, secluded beaches, endless hiking opportunities, and a true sense of "old Hawaii." If you feel this setting may not suit you, don't worry—there are high-rises in Maui nearby. However, for those eager to immerse themselves in the beauty of this island or return for another visit, we warmly welcome you to this hidden gem amidst paradise.

For convenient grocery shopping, remember to stop by the local grocery store, Friendly’s, located approximately five to six miles from the airport in Kaunakakai. It operates until 6 PM on non-Sundays. The smaller convenience shop at the resort is open every day from 9 AM to 5 PM, offering more than you might expect without alcohol.

If you're looking to dine out, consider visiting Hotel Molokai, which is close to town and features the only waterfront dining option on the island. Their spicy poke plate and daily catch with veggies are both highly recommended.

You’ll discover some of the best beaches on Molokai within walking distance from your cottage, including the stunning Make Horse Beach. Four beaches are easily accessible nearby.

One of the most spectacular views on the island is just a short drive away and only a two-minute walk from the parking lot at Kalaupapa Lookout. This scenic spot is typically included in our itinerary each visit, being just 10 minutes from Kaunakakai. The Phallic Rock Trail can also be explored from the same area and features an easy half-mile hike filled with interesting stories.

Lastly, the pool remains open for your enjoyment from sunrise to sunset, providing exceptional sunset vistas every evening.
